Our Practice

Although our practice specializes in working only with financial professionals, helping people make intelligent career decisions is what we’re really about.

Candidates at the early stages of their careers a (< 5 years) are building their foundation. Some begin in public accounting, before moving on. Others start in corporate accounting or audit. Although there are far more options available at this stage, the career choices made early on often have longer term implications. Candidates in the 5-15 year range are farther along, both in their careers and in their lives. Some want work/life balance. Others want the fastest track to the top. Finally, candidates at more advanced stages have totally different considerations driving their search. We’ve helped many senior level financial executives find the right leadership role to properly leverage their experience and impact.

Timing is Everything

It’s true. At different stages in your career, your goals and objectives will change. Your openness to consider other options also changes from year to year. Our firm understands these complexities and nuances. Some people want a fast track to the top. Others want a different route. Still others are not sure of what they want. We’ll help you paint a target of what ‘good’ looks like in your situation. We’ll only present opportunities in alignment with your goals. There’s no pressure, sales pitch or arm-twisting. Our interview preparation will help you evaluate the overall fit. You’ll have reliable information to make an intelligent decision. You choose, with no pressure, whether you want to move forward in the process, or take a pass.

Either way, you’ll have the confidence in knowing you’re making the right choice and why. However, it’s important to note that we can’t be everything to everyone, nor can we help everyone. What drives our decision is the chances of us working together successfully. We move forward only after an initial evaluation in which we both agree there are good prospects of success.
